Recently, Spencer Long of Genesus had a discussion with Jim Eadie of Swineweb about the Genesus Jersey Red Duroc. Since introducing the Genesus Jersey Red Duroc name into the marketplace earlier this summer, many questions about what it is have arisen. This discussion looks to help clear up questions people might have in regard to it.

The conversation focuses on the Duroc history, connection to the Red River Valley, Genesus focus on meat quality since 1998, why Jersey Red was chosen as the name, Jersey Red Duroc pork is being served at Buckingham Palace, and why better pork is important. Genesus is extremely proud of the hard work we have done in creating better-tasting pork and we look forward to continuing our commitment to this mission.
